I think it's stupid to be that upset over the touch-thing. If it's not being marketed as a fully fledged Touchphone, then we should be glad it's there. Many japanese phones utilizes touch like this.
Well not sure about me... i just feel upset to see a capacitive screen get under utilized this way.
that's why I said....why not just go for resistive....which can drive the phone to be more affordable as limited touch cannot utilize everything .... unless there's still surprises as they continue to improve thing...just like how they did ...a major revamp for C905 in feb.
but to be a be hypocritical... I might still choose Aino ... i cannot find those deskstand and headset info on accs page...so it seem like those are dedicated stuff for Aino?
that is the stuff i love to have beside just a phone

Really stupid. A2 accelero meter in media menu and touch screen function in anio media menu. Always reducing the software quality by upgrading platform. I cant forgive this bec its basic. I can use my media menu without touch functionality is it not?
SE concentrating on lil things missing basic main things. If it doesn't have touch screen people wouldn't have criticized much as now. Or atleast the D- pad in front could make a sense. Pissed off.

Do you use a slider?
i do. Every day. i open it for calls and use the numerical keypad for fast access of menus. Trust me, it's faster than any touch UI. The only place where I wanted touch in the first place was for media and web. Now this phone has promised the former and we have to wait and see the latter. I don't see what the big problem is.
Of course i like slider thats wy i'm using w910. And thats makes possibility for bigger screen. But its weird to slide out the phone just for navigations. We use soft keys and d-pad more than text keys.i need d-pad in front thats all about.
We are not getting bigger screen mobiles like this often so we don't have a choice for choosing other models among SE.

It uses MediaGO, which means whatever movie you have would be converted to a compatible form before it is transferred to the phone.
For once, I wish people on forums would start looking at what IS there instead on going on a hunt for what ISN'T. Because that is why people on the net would never, EVER be satisfied.

Honest people look for what they need mainly, not whats that isn't have.
If both in controversy then they will not be satisfied.
So its the intelligence of any company to satisfy the customer needs instead of judging themselves and creating devices.
Its my opinion please don't blame me. But still i like this device except the d-pad underneath. I don't forget to mention xperia has d-pad in front and bigger screen too.

Then it's quite obvious you should wait for the next Xperia. Perhaps this isn't the device for you.
Personally, I find it great that SE launched 3 phones that feel remarkably different from each other (Ok, one is Symbian, but still). Nobody can blame them for copy/paste anymore. Another complaint was that the tech seen in Japan is not seen in worldwide SE models. Well, guess what? the Aino looks 'n feels a LOT like the Japanese phones (A factor that I love). Lets not forget motion gaming in Yari, which was another japan only deal.
The Aino is everything I wanted in my next phone. I hope it has touch support in the browser, as it'd make life easier for me. Sure, it doesn't have everything under the sun, a kitchen sink and a cellar to lock the mother-in-law away, but it does have all the right bits to keep me happy.
Looks like I found my next phone.
