Wow, a "windows phone" based on broadly the same hardware as last year's failed experiment, but with an exciting new today screen plugin that looks like a scene from the film Tron, and is almost certainly unusable. Yes, SE really are pushing the boundaries.
Don't call it a comeback.
Haha! I knew you'd be back.
There's a company which is a master of what you described. You know which one.
X2 has a lot of great upgrades.

You're dying for me to say it too, aren't you? The thing is, making a number of small but significant improvements to a hardware platform that's already successful makes sense. Re-releasing an "experiment" from last year with only a few tweaks doesn't.
X2 has a lot of great upgrades.
X2 is a bog standard late-2009 Windows Mobile phone, in just the same way that the X1 was a bog standard late-2008 Windows Mobile phone. The unfortunate thing is that while the Windows Mobile world was in a pretty shabby state last year in the face of increasing competition, this year it's positively terminal.

@>500 - when did I say they were a surprise? To be honest, I did start to wonder at one point whether they'd actually go official and launch the X2, or whether Vulcan would simply go the same way as Paris (another heavily previewed handset based on the wrong OS at the wrong time), so I suppose the only real surprise is that this is definitely coming to market.
But surprise probably isn't the right word.

Just hope for the people who buy this experimental rehash, the phone won't break within a month or two.

Good news regarding hardware acceleration, but its still the freaking 7200A!

No, you're just boring with the double standard you propose all the time,
that's it.
