For those who find QWERTY input too slow, try this in the pub...
Take an extra stylus, put your P800 on the bar and tap in quick succession with both styli! Far faster than T9!

I respect the original poster's desire for t9 in the p800. Afterall, we have a wide range of tastes.
But personally, I have found the stylus faster for composing my messages.
Again, like someone said, it probly wouldnt have taken much for SE to put t9 in. I think some 3rd party has got a t9 app you can install or so.

yea but eziTAP is pure crap though! not half as easy as t9, earlier in the thread it was mentioned that sony had thier own predictive text software, on the t68i was this eziTAP?
edit: its been over two years now, do we have any OFFICIAL reason from se why t9 (or any predictive text) was not included?

use it without flip like a pda and never thought in T9 until today beacuse I dont need it really.

i'd say t9 is not needed when you are fully integrated with writing using a stilus.
if you find the stilus hard to use, try a palm pen instead. works fine for me. great text input.
