All I can say is Sony and Samsung have different approaches again in terms of their camera. What pisses me off is that gsmarena is too biased towards Samsung. Yes, oversharpening makes the photos look nice in general but in the expense of details as shown below. (Look at the roof!)


It's pissing me off that people think in a glance that the samsung have the better picture quality when in reality the two can't be compared because of the different approach.



AND YES, sharper image does not always mean better looking photos. Now, I can conclude how unprofessional gsmarena is based from there conclusion that the alpha has the upper camera performance, they could have made it clearer and stated otherwise that it produces sharper photos with some lost of details

^i think the better term there is "cleaner" or "less noisy" photos. with sony's very obvious sharpening (on pixel peeping perspective), it's supposed to be the one with the sharper photos.

And who cares what reviewer say? GSMArena were probably used to shit quality from Sony, they didn't notice a difference?:D I never read a conclusion, because the user alone has to make one, I really don't care what they say about camera quality, I just go there and look for myself, then press my own judgement. To be fair, they were always saying good words about Z, Z1 and Z2 camera while it was pretty shitty.

As for camera quality, Z3C is of course better than Alpa, for photos it's even better than S5, now Sammy only leads in Video quality, but by far less margin than with Z2.

alpha definitely doesn't take better picture, not even in the same league. Look at all the missing details. Image softening OR sharpening can be done later but details won't magically appear.

Only phony enthusiasts would say that details in pictures don't matter and that "cleaner" (smeary) shots is the way to go.

So Sony got 20.7MP, srhink the size down to 12MP and you will see a huge difference between Alpha and Sony .
Some people are so funny with their silly arguments.
