Yeah let see... Note 8 coming without the explosion because they change battery manufacturer.
But XZ1 come with the old issues.
This make me wonder why SONY launch the new product with old issues.

Note 7 to 8 and iphone 6 to 6s has full year gap to fixed, other side of thing time span of launch availability between XZ Premium and XZ1 is less than five months and someone just keep wanking it over to the moon already, such a shame.

Archdragoon bought a Sony phone with lots of money and the phone's camera have serious problems (it is well documented) so of course he is going to complain about it. He can complain about it because he has the right to complain about it. Unlike other people who troll Sony page without even buying a single phone in years he actually buy sony phones. XZ1 camera lens has awful distortion, flare, shading and ringing problem and it's just the lens problems. I'm not going to say anything about image processing here. Go watch androidauthority's video review of XZ1. You will see what I'm talking about. No camera is perfect but Sony's camera is seriously lagging behind the top camera phones.
If you don't like his post just do what I do to tzep (or whatever his name is) post.

hboy857 is correct, when we spend the money we should demand a certain level of quality. Buying a Sony you know that it has some shortcomings but some things shouldn't be a problem like the distortion. That Sony response was terrible, you can only accept that if you spend below £100 for your phone. That goes for the antenna problem on the old iPhone and Note 7. You shouldn't accept that crap from big companies who make tons of cash.

I mean what would you do with somebody's email at support? Send a replace unit immediately?
What I would do I would go to Sony Store and try to speak to a person,
examine it etc.
The rest is somewhat trollish behaviour - how Sony is cr..p and others are so nice and great.
Which is simply BS (Note 7, iPhone 6, tons of other quality problems).

Yes of course we have try that already and local SONY store can't do anything because they're just distributor. I even talk to product manager and he said that it's all depend on the HQ in Japan.
We even make the change.org stuff.
Xperia's Distortion
Also if Xperia's distortion is the same as distortion of other wide angle camera there will be no complaint.
Actually we aren't demand the replacement or anything immediately.
But what do we get now ? It's false information and lie.

The over processed algorithm is simply absurd. its like a watercolor foto. Just compare it in any review and you see flar, failed noise smoothing, defocus etc.
I think the whole Mobile camera department should be fired. Start from zero because those guys arent even trying to fix the issues known for a long time.
