No camera samples that I've seen. I am very curious the reason they went with 12 MP sensors and didn't utilize the 48MP sensor that everyone else is using. Makes me wonder what these 12MP sensors are capable of, or if it was a sacrifice they had to make to be able to put in OIS and not make the device too thick

Perhaps it may be 48MP sensor but locked pixel binning at 12MP?

Why would they use 48mpx sensor? Who needs 48mpx?
More pixels !== better quality.

Exactly!!!! Nobody needed of OIS. Market and trend wanted it only. Sony used the biggest sensors always on their phone. And what we have now to follow the trend? 3 tiny ridicuolus sensors...But ohh yeahhhh we have the fXXking OIS. They will probably produce cleaner images, thanks to the larger photodiodes. But we lose details. Personally I prefer to have more noisy images, to clean up easily with photoshop and similar, but with much more details.

What Sony had of the fact they used biggest sensors in their phones? Nothing!
Sony was always behind the competition in the picture quality, even though competition used this "tiny ridiculous sensors"...

Are there any Night Mode Scene for the photos or camera or anything like that for low-light photography, just like the Pixel 3 or Mi Mix 3 features, or even XZ2P High-ISO at 51200? Just wondering

@Moogoo
I don't wear tight jeans at all, but I'm only 5 foot 5 inches so I'm not that tall either. Like I've mentioned before, I'm changing from XZ1 to XZ2 Compact because of comfort and that ties in with what nikola1970 has said regarding 4K screen and the general move towards such features which are good in some ways but at the cost of battery, I'd rather not. Teenagers do everything on their phones so I guess they would watch movies etc. but a lot of other people only watch video on the train and then move straight to their TV when they get home. Everyone will listen to music and browse the net, emails etc. so for me I would take a hit on screen resolution for battery life. While 4K seems like overkill but if its the same price as the S10+ then sure, go for the 4K screen and tall aspect ratio.

Let see the result first and let many people judge what do they like. Most of people that I know believe that Xperia 1 can take better photo than what XZ2P can.
Although I still wonder would the main camera still distort like crap ?
