Does the screen protector for a mark 6/7 match the mark 8? I understand the screen is of the same size, but will the cutouts match?

According to Amazon Germany and Sweden it´s the same for all 3.

Upgrading from the Xperia 1 v and I think I'm satisfied it'll be a decent upgrade. I also have the 1 iv so both will be up for sale. I think what swayed me in the end was the new design, secondly the new telephoto camera.

What's anyone else upgrading from?

I balk at spending JMD 300000 on a phone. I can afford it. I just cant justify spending that much on a phone when I have a child in college and another about to start. My last flagship phone was the XZ premium. My next phone will not be Sony or any flagship. I just want 512GB UFS 4.x storage 12+GB of RAM and a decent processor currently have a Redmi 13C which is quite shite but has a headphone jack and removable storage and a side mounted fingerprint sensor. Gonna get a Poco X7 Pro 512GB soon. Will come back to Sony if they are still making phones when the kids finish college. I remain a big Sony fan just think all flagships are overpriced

I was thinking bout getting the VII due to the price, but after consideration, the new telephoto sensor on the VIII and new design is worth it to me.

I'll be upgrading from a 1 II. It's cracked and way behind on security updates. Still works though it can be a bit laggy. It'll be nice to have a responsive phone again and I am excited about new cameras.

Just gonna wait before I take the plunge. Don't want to import from Japan until it's out in the wild and well received. Then I will take the plunge.

@moogoo No doubt it'll feel like a massive upgrade from your current phone. With me selling my current two phones, and the XM6 headphones and a couple of other things, I can justify the cost and it'll be my last new purchase for a good while (unless something truly spectacular emerges)

Yea it will definitely feel like night and day. I'm looking forward to it. I just hope it all works out with importing it and getting service.

Just another 10 days until it ships for all the official preorders right? exciting.

Yes. I am pretty excited. This is the first iteration of the X 1 series that looks a whole lot different from the previous version.

Still no Spigen Rugged Armor Case Compatible with Sony Xperia 1 VIII.

The Sony Original 1 VIII Phone Stylish Case with Stand is out of stock at the Sony Sweden online store, and Amazon Sweden doesn’t even have it for sale.
I had to order it from Germany to make sure I’d have it when my phone arrives.

I was looking at cases that have magnetic rings built into the case for use with magsafe accessories. not sure how they are but might be nice to have.

what color are you getting?

i think i've decided that i will get the red one.

Did you get a spigen screen protector? it's my favorite one, but they don't sell them in the states. I'll need to find an online source at some point.
