Definitely a 2 possibly 1. However, I'm technically competent and can perfectly understand that my mum would HATE it.
I get around the world a lot as a consultant, and generally business people (I note that mainly CEO's have the p800 - should Esato be directing some HQ advertising?) I chat to are equally happy. Many many contacts in an easily retrievable format is a big thing. Most ppl I chat to, being businessmen, are on R1d!!! I am on R2f but didn;t battle with R1d for the 2 weeks that I used it intensively (believe me when I say that hotels are very boring at night).
McKinsey (internaitonal consulting firm) have just rolled out SE's to the entire SA office. T610's up to management level, and p800's for partners.
I have used everything on the planet; Old casios, Psion 3, Psion 5, Palm, WinPC, and now fianlly this. I was NOT delighted to get this! I thought "lame and constraining PIM that won;t compare to Psion 5, which defines perfection, coupled with inability to find 3rd party s.ware". Well, PIM is stunning, 3rd party stuff proliferates with more 'availability' than for Psion 5!!, and stabilty is manageable.
My only bug: I chew a battery in 1 day. I now carry a backup phone which it almost, but not quite, as bad as the situation I moved out of: phone plus PDA.
