Hmmm... it doesn't say that on my version of the O2 website )

Some of the tariffs have 500/125 and others have 500/0* (where the star points to the small print with the confusing text).

I'll email them

i think if u get bolt ons then the 4:1 ration applys. I got the same tariff but interesting to know. but on the website it is very clear that tariff does not come with media messages, but the 750 one does.

also to o2 users. o2 active is now aviable, its already set up, jsut push the silver button the right side of your phone and your. looks very clean and get for getting bbc news quickly!

There are no free media msgs on Online Offpeak 500. This feature only applies to Online Offpeak 750, Online 100 and Online 200

ARGHHHH !!
you can use your free text allowance to send media message as it states on the o2 site:

" Media Messages will be decremented against Text Messages in a 1:4 ratio i.e. 1 Media Message is equivalent to 4 Text Messages. Bundle is used on a demand basis until all Media Message or Text Message free credit is used up (i.e. 500 Text Messages or 125 Media Messages). Thereafter Text Messages will be charged at 10p per message and Media Messages at 35p per message."

so TECHNICALLY on ANY online tarrif you have the option to have 125 media messages extra or if you are on the online 500 tarrif just 125 media messages. phew.

I must say that it states on the top at the tariff page that:

"Choose online 100 or online 200 and get 500 free text messages or 125 media messages (or a combination of both) all included in your monthly tariff."

So this would mean that only those two products offer cross combinations of free texts. (It would also seems as though the Offpeak 750 is included in the offer). The only two packages where you can not do this is the online50 and the offpeak 500.

The small print at the bottom, just describes how the costs/usage are/is calculated.

Hope that helps?

I have now recieved my T610 upgrade for o2 over the phone. I am on o2 50 and it cost me £39.99 (so they said haven't had the bill yet). I ordered it on Sat 28/6 and it came on Tue 1/7.

I have had a reply from O2 helpline. They say that the Online Offpeak 500 tariff does NOT include any free MMS.

I think their tariff page is VERY misleading on this point. I may even have chosen another supplier if I'd known that from the outset.

We really should get a legal expert in on this, as the detailed page for the O.O.500 tariff does contain the text about MMS being deducted from monthly allowance!
