could it be that the foil is just improving reception. We know that the phone uses more battery power the lower the signal strength. So if signaI strength is improved less power is used thus as a result of this the battery lasts longer. This would account for the fact that for some people the effect is more marked than others(they live with different signal strengths). Could test by swiching the phone to flight mode to see if it makes a difference then. and perhaps try it with normal tin foil?

Refer to the start of this thread for some pseudo-scientific explanations by myself and others as to how this product works.
The manufacturers make no claim about improving signal strength, just that improves batter life my generating 'cavity radiation'. Many people say that it is just a placebo effect, however, after carrying out some tests of my own I have managed to make some approximate measurements, which indicate similar results to the ones found in that review that someone posted a link to.
As has been gone over before, energy cannot be created from nothing (with certain possible exceptions) so perhaps the battery extender uses heat produced by the battery itself. Such heat might very well cause certain electrons in the battery extender to move to a more excited state and result in photonic releases, which in turn could conceivabley interact with ions in the battery, and in essence give what would have been lost heat energy, back to the battery. Therefore it increases the efficiency of the battery, basically it could be recycling lost heat energy.

I've got one but am unsure where to put it. Only useful answers please !!! The instructions say to put it under the battery not touching any terminals or circuits and near to where the aerial is ? Where is the aerial ? I have put it under the battery in the phone and the battery is certainly lasting longer from just 20hrs to 27-30. There is a slight improvement in the signal strength. When I had nil signal I now get one bar, one bar becomes 2 etc.

I have managed to create a batterey extender fo rmy p800. I noticed a 30% increase in pghne batterey life after i wraped it in very thin aluminium and tin composite sheet metal. You can buy theese from various places. just ask for aluminium tin foil. Wrap the batterey nice and tightly with out spliting the sheet metal. This then gives you more play time with the handset.
Please let me know if i have upset or offended you in any way as i will then take appropriate action and make an apoplogy.
