No one an idea how we can make the TodayView of Tracker3 looking like the much clear view of HandyDay? This is a real important view for me... this one is always up
The one on Tracker is really not clear and practice, to small letters, not a good font, and so much missing if you want to make comparaison with HandyDay....
It makes it more a gagdet to have fun with and to show off with friends then a real parctical and professionnal interface.... no change at TodayView and i will go back to, for me, much better en faster HandyDay.

How I did mine is the same way I design my websites in photoshop. I did a single PSD file where all the buttons and background are nicely aligned. After which I saved 3 PSD from the original. One just the background, another with the off click and another for on click views.
I then slice off the buttons and take note of the coodinates of the buttons to later put them back together in the configuration file for the skins.
Not that difficult actually, I'm thinking its much easier than designing for OggPlayer
lulu ginzburg : I couldn't find any configuration for the Today View. Its just a single line on where to place it in the skin. Thats's all. Unless I missed something.

Handy day's fonts are clearer because they have outlines. This makes it possible to clearly differentiate the letters from the background picture. I just don't know why Tracker did not make the same move. Such a pitty.
On the other hand, I am now using a skin that has a background with a single color ("FXP"). This makes reading the Today view easier.
Hope this is a lesson for skin makers... the Today View should be as clean as possible to make reading easier.
One comment about FXP... it really changes the phones user interface from UIQ to something more like a Windows desktop. Cool!

Made a quick skin yesterday. Don't think it was that big a deal to make, really. Was a bit scared by Sweet-heart saying it took him a couple of weeks to make his, but it turned out it was really easy to understand, and as long as you know how to add and subtract to find coordinates, it isn't that big a job to make a skin.
