@ welsh uk

Come come old boy! These are the sort of capers a chap in his prime should be bounding into. They are crushingly good fun and well I think its fair to say that everyone has had a damned good time.
Afterwards we can all skip merrlliy, like small children on Christmas Morn, over to Mrs Miggins' Pie Shop and have a jolly good slice of steak and kidney, a glass of warm ale and thoroughly nice rendition of 'Whoop Whoop Where's Your Trousers?'.

Agreed

But i suggest we all go on a merry hunt with our shotguns and retrievers bag us a couple of pheasants have a nice sherry over dinner and discuss our troubles by a roaring fire

After dinner a spot of tennis should sort out the wheat from the chaff once and for all

Oh yes sounds jolly good.

Actually joking aside for a moment I did something like that last month. We had been staying with some friends in the north of Scotland, they have the most wonderful house in the country, its really super.
Anyway, we had had a simply stunning dinner and were sitting by the fire with our drinks and cigars, etc and the subject of croquet came up. Well would you believe it that they had a croquet lawn? We got some lights out there and we had a smashing game of croquet, it went on until midnight. Fantastic stuff.

Damn that sounds like fun

The closest i get to anything like that is 10 pints a packet of pork scratchings vomit all down the front of me and usually some kind gentlemen helping me out of the door head first LOL

Its not all port and cigars and midnight croquet you know. When I was summerring in Egypt three years ago we had been rather naughty and had a tad too much to drink.
We staggered upstairs to our rooms and deciding not to let the party die we all bundled into one chap's rooms for a knees up. The party had just got underway when we, all highly drunk at this stage of the evening, decided it would be absolutely fantastic fun to throw a full roast chicken from the balcony. In a Hooray Henry moment, which I shall always be ashamed of, we threw the chicken and heard a splash. Peering over the ledge we saw that it had gone straight into the pool, which at that very moment was being used as part of a wedding reception.
We felt just awful, then there was a knock at the door, we found that it was the bride's father. Instead of shouting at us he invited us down, everyone down there was completely whammied too. Absolutely corking fun.

And you may have gotten away with it if that useless chicken had flown

Yes, although I'm not terribley sure what happened to it after it hit the pool. Someone probably fished it out and sold it.
