i'm happy to fork out the AUD $30 extra to get a handset with inbuilt , assuming the price difference between an OEM handsfree and the radio headset.

anyway, i prefer the HPR-20 because it operates like a portable radio.

just my 2c

the point i'm broadly trying to make is that lack of in-built radio is NOT an insurmountable shortfall, if indeed it can be considered one anyway.

Elegant words my friend but I find the inbuilt radio very handy, as do many. Anyway- how are they $30??

I own a few phones. I just defend good products, and defend Nokia if irrational SE fans discredit it for an illogical reason.

You'll find that Flying Finn has that as his signature. I tend to agree sometimes.
In addition, I can go on any forum I like

But thanks for your concern.

It started shipping on October 21st over here. The only problem that I've heard has been the keypad which some (not so much the users but the critics) don't like.

the average mobile doesn't ship with a handsfree in the packet. if you buy an OEM handsfree rather than a cheap knock-off, then the price difference between the radio handsfree and the normal handsfree works out to around $30 - $35

i'm not denying that it might be handy for it to be in-built, but i work in an industry that values the difference between "have to have" and "nice to have". for me, is far more important because i can obtain radio functionality other ways.

Yes it does

Every radio phone has a radio headset included.

Think of all those users that have some weird colorful covers on their 3XXX phones..BT? They couldn't care less. I'm not saying Nokia is good only for users like them though. Remember the features that the 6230 and the Series 60 & 80/90 phones have. And yes, a radio headset comes with every Nokia that has an FM radio. Except the 6510 in some markets. All the other FM radio phones (8310, 7210, 6610, 5100, 7250, 7250i, 3200, N-Gage, 6800, 6810, 6220, 6230, 7700, 7600, 7200, 5140, 3300, 2300) have them in the sales package. Nokia has also had an add-on MP3/FM radio for years but it only comes with 32MB internal memory. It's good for phones like 3310, 3510, 8210 etc. Here it is:

Recently they announced a new Pop-port radio

Sorry for the long reply
