Yes, I was wondering about that too...
Is it possible to do the update with the charger installed in the craddle?

Hi again, BigFeat

@Marin -

What I understood SBC’s question to mean was whether the online update could actually detect the AC power and interpret the battery as full. However, I don’t think that is possible. I still think the updater checks for the battery pack status. Therefore, the charger, whether its hooked up or not, is insignificant in that setup.

Please wait...
Checking the installation of Sony Ericsson Update Service

And then it stops there.

BigFeat,
Exactly my point. Will the battery show the real charge, or will it show as being connected to the charger? The charger should be at least as good as a full battery. Very interesting, especially in a case like this, where everyone wants to get a move on and see some results

Hampusd,
Use the good old Windows trick and restart. Then make sure you are not running any kind of web filters... Other than that, who knows?

Hampus, har du laddat telefonen full? Folk har ställt dig frågan innan. På SEs hemsida står det att du skall ha den fullladdad. Jag tror inte att någon annan progrmvara är nödvändig som nämns i posten ovan.

Translation:
Have you really charged the battery to 100%?

Luc

..and SBC, how are you

I don't think the java stuff is needed in the latest version of the live update (Seus).... Yes, I meant restarting windows. But I guess you have tried restarting both the P900 and windows, right? Well, if it isn't a web filter, then I don't know... Maybe your Windows version isn't supported?

Hi there, Lucas! Can we please be allowed to seek some sort of progress here, then?

Oh, and Lucas. Since you are Swedish... Why aren't you running this update? I would for sure if I had bought my P900 here in Denmark, but alas... It's from the UK and therefore CDA /5 instead of /1...

I looked at the release notes for 162003/1 and there is nothing. It seems like SE must be updating the service right at this moment, so that may explain the update getting "stuck".

As suggested by others:
- shut down Windows
- turn off your computer
- turn your computer back on
- close any applications other than your web browser
- turn off anti-virus protection
