I changed the operator name to the same colour as the background. so if the background colour already worked, it should have worked too..... still don't get it....

JORG > It only works with the T68i (or a T68m with mms-software when that is available in week 20).
You cannot change the Themes on the current T68m, only the T68i.

And I'm not sure if you can do this thrue cable ??
It works with IR.

All u got to do is to install the program. when u se the white window press on it with ur mus. when u don that u could drag ur *.thm on to the program and there u have it. u wil se alot of codes in the beginning... scroll down til u se the setup script. U the hex color codes to change the colors and thats it. when finshed editing go to files and save buffer or save buffer as. thats it
have fun

A .thm file is a tar archive. The theme must include a xml file with the theme description. It can also include gif images (background, desktop, medium title and small title). No index file is needed. Some of the colours in the theme can not have the same RGB value. If you use the same value for the backgound and the operator text the theme will be corrupt.

How to create a theme:
1. Create gif images (optional)
2. Create xml file
3. Use a program like WinAce to create a tar archive
4. Rename file from .tar to .thm
5. Send to phone

The files can not have longer name than 8 characters + 3 characters extension.

Have fun

I used http://www.ultimatezip.com It's a freeware archiver
it handles most filecompression types.

1) I sent classical.thm from the phone to the computer
2) renamed the file to classical.tar
3) unpacked it with ultimatezip
4) then I renamed the .xml file to another name and edited it
changed it to use my .gif's instead and you can change colors and
stuff there too.
5) Then I opened ultimatezip and choose new typed a filename.tar
(choose tar as zip format not tar-gzip or gzip2) then i added
the .xml file and the gif's (You do NOT need an index.txt file forget about that one)
6) renamed the file back to .thm
7) sent to phone

It worked w/o any problems!

That was for all you windows users out there
it would be even more simple to do in Linux

I do not take credit for all this I only got this far from reading
other ppls posts in here (didn't know it was tar archive before reading it here) but I seen ppl ask for freeware for windows who can do this
so now you got an answer

@dw
Thanks very much for the link ! It’s a very nice little software, very easy to go through… especially if you’re used to WinZip !!!
