Ok, thanks for the info. I found the BIOS at cellular-support.com and I was just wondering how these things get acquired... are they legitimate? If I'm in the USA using AT&T Wireless, do I pick US1 or US2 for the main firmware? I don't want to unbrand or unlock my phone, just want a newer BIOS than my R1A. Thanks for the help!

I recommend you to go to a SE service center, I did it. And atleast in sweden it's free if you got the guarantee left. Send a mail to SE and ask about your nearest service center.

I've got R3C and i havn't upgraded because I don't see the point of upgrading until they add something I would actually like. (Sockets support in Java, My Friends?!?). Seems too much trouble to go through just to have slightly faster java and slightly less buggy...Unless your phone freezes a lot, then it's worth upgrading. Mine freezes from time to time (About 3 times since i've had it) Especially when in Wap and Java games.
