but sumimasen can also means 'sorry' gomennasai is a formal way to say sorry, and toph'kun ask for the informal well 'gomen' is informal but sounds impolite, so i say 'sumimasen' would be the informal way to say 'sorry'
'doumo sumimasen'(i'm sorry)
