bush. 'invading' iraq. his intentionswere simple. the oil. bush was paid millions by esso (exxon mobil) beforegetting into power. as well as ditching the kyoto protocol since, to essos benfit, iraq has the biggest known supplies of untouched oil in the world. who uses the most oil in the world? america. www(dot)stopesso(dot)com This message was posted from a P900

@batesie:
I think my car runs the US close for the amount of oil used!! It smokes more that I did before I quit!

...Sorry for the digression, thought we could do with the light relief!

Slightly more seriously, I think saying it was just for the oil is an over-simplification and a favorite explanation of the loony left.... although it is not secret that bush is in the pockets of many large oil companies, and did anyone see any footage of that confrence he gave yesterday? Not very convincing, was he!?

was he ever convinced, that string doll?
Friggin' idiot.

As for why the press give so much attention to 'rebellious' imams and clergymen: because they're the MEDIA! there is no story in good citizens that go to work and come straight home and teach their children a set of values. they'r eboring. they don't SELL. Fear sells. Violence sells. terror sells. The media is not here to give us the One and Only Truth.. they're here to make money. wake up ppl

if there were no religion human beings would find another excuse to killl eachother. No doubt about it. But we are all looking for a reason, a cause. And those that have the charisma to appeal to ppl, abuse their religion to create masses of followers..... it ws like that with hitler, it's like that with bin laden.... there will be another one one day I fear.

of course. where else? for the us government the only way of diplomacy outher usa was, is the war. asia and africa is out the party. the countrie mentioned before had good connections to the arabian world and the european diplomats are for a peaceful solution.

Another bad news - one man from Italy was killed by his kidnapers. A French journalist released.

I've just heard the 3 Japanese hostages have been freed - and another 2 Japanese taken hostage!

I wonder when they are going to realise that taking hostages won't make countries involved in Iraq change their mind? How many hostages will they kill before realising this?

they won't. maybe politicians won't change their minds... but public opinion will swing for sure.

bin laden is ready to negitiate with europe as i heared in the latest news. but i think in the background they started it already. without the us... i would negotiate with them. they have no problem with us, we have no problem with them. the problems are the usa and israel. but everybody has to negotiate for himself. and as soon as possible un troops has to arrive to iraq and the us army should leave it.
