I'm not too bothered if the PSP will be region locked or not, more concerning for me is the battery performance, as i hear from sources in Japan that it only lasts a pathetic 90 minutes when playing games such as Ridge Racer! if this is infact the case when it finally arrives in the UK its not going to be much of a portable playstation after all is it!

From what I've read, the region lock does not apply to games, only to future movie releases on UMD (of which there are exactly zero at the moment).
My guess is that Region 2 logo/icon relates to movies not games.
It's to be expected that there would be region lock on movies if Sony are serious about getting film studios to even consider releasing movies on the format.

How is the non-gaming media going to work, are they going to release movies already on UMD? Music?
Is the mp3 capability only through magic gate if there is not a way to put mp3s on UMD?

Sony is going to make umd versions of films and music albums but seems they dont want people to record umds. I think that it is wise because piracy gonna have troubles with it.

i got my psp and i noticed after looking at all the pics on the inernet will my big screen that the psp seemed big but when i got it it my red ups bag green foam and opende it....................
