good observation, but seeing as people tend to be wasted on beer, wine, and any other alcoholic drinks they can get there "lets-get-pissed-its-new-years"-hands on, nobody stops to think about if there are actually words for that song.

Most people do the linked arms thing and sing the chorus, l'm not surprised that most people don't know the words since many of them are Scots terms, a prize goes to anyone who knows what a "We'll drink a richt guid willy waught" means.
