the ones that have no intention of sending any phones cant really be taken to court because ur £20 was for the CD, not the phone u were never destined to recieve
I was tempted but the lists were too full to even give it a go.

@bman- yes, that's the only surefire way to get to the top of one of those lists - whenever new phones appeared on that site, it was often at least a day before people were added to it - perhaps so that folk would all sign up quick thinking they may be the first.

You do appear to be at the mercies of these guys as well considering the phone is considered a 'free gift', so they can be quite within their rights to stop shipping phones to people if they've had enough (or made enough!)

And besides, once a list was getting near full, and say that you were next in line to recieve a phone, there's nothing to stop someone self-referring so that they jump you in the queue and recieve the phone next - kind of like last minute 'sniping' in Ebay auctions!

sammiboy, you can indeed cancel your order within 7 days of order. Its against the law if they don't. All internet orders are subject to a minimum of 7 day return policy whereby u are entitled to your money back.

I cant remember the name of the other guy, who asked can u write links of the 2 company. U want to know their web address?

@thebman919 Why you would sign up for a phone that is not even released yet i don't understand. Because the first person on the list would not receive theirs until it was released!

Like I will be when i get my S700 through

I might have to pay some extra money to it since I'm swapping it and thats not what I was supposed to get or I may combine to lists I have cycled in and just try get the spare money sent to me. Will just have to wait and see.

Since my last update on the 15th August, only TWO people have joined my list!!

The person at the top of the list (apparently) has had his K700 sent out, so there are now only (!) 11 people ahead of me in the queue, and the next person in line to recieve their K700 has 3 people on it. Therefore, another 272 people need to join before I would get my phone.

I can pretty safely say that I won't be recieving my 'free gift'!

And another little point I've just thought of. I have no idea who or where the people who set this site (and many like them) have come from, so who knows if they are giving/selling all my details like email address, etc. to spammers and junk mailers?
