if anyone's interested, i can cut some more glyphs from Nina to cut it down to alphanumeric and punctuation, but for now i've left in western accented chars - i've removed most of the greek chars, symbols etc.

I've noticed the p900>p800 option has a good effect on memory in sman - first time i've broken 6000kb!

Anyone know how to get me to 8000kb?!

EDIT - just tried it, not much can be cut down, prob minimum size is about 50k. so i'll leave it as it is for now

it looks ok,

oh and btw a little offtopic my p800 just crashed, it say internal memory corrupted bla bla bla so i press the continue button and voila! nothing happens, white screen! and i'm a little worried that sman aka system fonts crashed my phone because i didn't installed anything new on it and this never happened to me... oh well i guess i'll have to visit the friendly ppl at the se service point

@ mmsman

hey, mine too crashed a week back with same message "internal memory crashed..." that time i too thought to visit SE people.. but you know here SE People are more friendly, they even ask to keep the cell phone and then they forget what was the problem (when we ask them regarding our phone's health) so i selected master reset... and then thanks to my PC and sync i got all my stuff back to my smart phone (smart act ??)

But don't Blame S-Man and system font for it. We people install lots of stuff on our phone. My average is (3 new things per day) so God knows what wrong i did that day.

SMan is great software,,,,, especially System Font function

@Vijay
Thanks for your work on the nina font. It does look good but go to Pictures and it will show 2 thumbnails instead of the normal 4. Plus there is no bold differentiation between read and unread txt msgs.

For a font to have the correct formatting it needs to show both bold and normal fonts in the preview font screen in Sman.

Check the difference in these pics

I didn't include the non-bold version, only the bold version, because the fonts in their original state are over 120k each. Hence 240k in memory. I used just the bold, cut down to about 50ish k. However, I'm unsure if using a bold and non-bold font will increase memory/slow down phone. I guess I'll knock up the non-bold font as well, and then we'll have the choice. Have to be done after the weekend right now i'm afraid...

I guess if you guys tell me how big to make the font, i'll aim for that. at the moment there are not many superfluous characters, so each font can't go much below 50k.

@vijay555:

Can I have the complete nina.ttf font (normal and bold) please...

I don't mind the size if it looks good...
