> How often do you change your phone?

I buy a phone every 3 to 6 months. I now own a K700 but before that I owned a black T630 for 3,5 months and before the t630 I had a Samsung E700 for about 6 months.
Before those 3 phones I had a T610, T300, 6510, OT511, T65, 8210, V66i, S35, M35 and an A1018s. I used all these phones for about 3 to 6 months exept my A1018s. I used that phone for about 9 months. I mostly sell my phones to friends and family,exept the T300, my girlfriend is using that phone.

I have kept my phones for roughly a year each:
Nokia 6130
- My first mobile virtually given to me by a friend. I can't even remember if this was the exact model, but it was some old Nokia brick anyway! Ok for SMS, but reliability problems made me upgrade:
Sony J5
- Fantastic phone bought off Virgin's web site. The screen was great for it's time - large with 4 shades of grey - it had Microsoft's Pocket IE and a fantastic UI. The scroll wheel at the side was phenominal - something I missed when I upgraded. My mother still has and uses this phone.
Sony Ericsson T610
- Upgraded from my J5 as my costs per month on PAYG were no more than the O2 contract I changed to (O2 Online 50, 500 texts, £19.99pm). An awesome phone, as I am sure you are all aware. You need a copy of FMA and a Bluetooth dongle to get the most benefit from it
. My girlfriend currently uses this phone.
Sony Ericsson K700i
- Upgraded after my O2 contract finished. I'm still on the same contract - I just upgraded the phone. I am suprised that there are so many people nitpicking the K700 on these forums. I have used it a lot over the past month and find it quite incredible. I do still prefer the styling of the T610, but feature and speed wise there is no comparison. It has vastly more memory (42Mb vs 2.5Mb), a much, much quicker UI, a far faster Bluetooth implementation (about 25K/s rather than 4K/s), a better camera, a better, higher resolution screen and a rake of new features.
It is quite amazing, just looking back, how much difference there is between each of the phones on this list. It is difficult to say which was the biggest jump in terms of features, but I guess i'd have to go for the J5 to T610.
