Doesnt the P910a support 850mhz already, although it doesnt have EDGE

Yup, EDGE is already offered nationwide by ATTWS in USA and Roger's in Canada, so it is out there waiting to be used!!!

EDGE has some pretty edgy stuff under its sleeve - PoC (press-to-talk over cellular) is one - just dunno if it has been incorporated in the newgen X700/X800, F700 and F900 handsets.
