Who cares if it's opnly a slight modification. It's a modification and one that will attract users as well. period.

Oh yeah, me mentioning the SE P910i price here in Manila pegged at Php 43K +/- (brand new), while the much better S700 is at 35K +/- . . . Rate: US$ 1.00=Php 56.30 !

ok let's rewind a bit. I thought we were talking about 'minor upgrades' and i mentioned P900 -> P910 in that respect. Price difference between P900 and P910 over here is present, but not HUMONGOUS and is justified considering the P910 IS an upgrade and presents valyue for money for those interested in buying a good smartphone. It may not be so value for money for those already having a smartphone.
Now where did the comparison with S700 get into this? Why are we comparing to S700?
And is the S700 really 'much better'? Not for those who want a PDA, as the S700 is NOT a PDA. From that point of view it is definitely not MUCH better.
And I would certainly shell out more money for a P910 than I would for a S700. It's got more to offer.

I just made a personal choice of comparison between the two's - features and prices . . . me like the S700 much better, features and price - WISE, as I am not into PDA fones!

C'mon, this thread is now getting boring. SE makes great phones, of excelent quality and versatile enough to be used 2, 3 or more years.
How many of us still have old SE phones WORKING as backups or on any relative hands?, that sure talks lots about a company that maybe evolute a little slow but strong.
The key point is no to release a phone every 6 months, it is to release phones that will last on the market, and that's what is going on now. Other brand releases models every week but they don't last on the market, and SE keeps them strong enough to be recognized.

what some r trying to say is that every manufacturer do release their fair share of good and bad phones. SE is no different. When someone accuses Nokia of this and that, it has been shown that SE behave similar as well.
A recurring theme here is Nokia releases similar phones in terms of functionality and look. So does SE as was shown clearly (i.e. P900/P910, K500/K700, T610/T630, T230/T290). Only a hypocritic can say there is huge difference between what Nokia and SE are doing.

Is SE phone plastic cover painted in silver is better quality than one painted in funny color like Nokia?
Is the solid-state electronics found in SE phone better quality than Nokia eventhough these electronics are made by same 3rd party manufacturer?
Is the firmware of K700 having better quality than Nokia 6230 eventhough both firmware have their initial teething problem?
Is SE camera better quality if it takes better picture in bright light but crap in low light compare to Nokia which does acceptable for any lighting conditions?
btw: maybe I should add SE has the legacy of Ericssons who made some of the most uninspring and problematic phones ever. That' something for u to think about.

I'm even experienced on nokia and SE phones, 4 nokias and 4 SE, and let me tell you that my 4 SE phones showed far better quality than my 4 Nokia ones. 3 out of 4 SE are still working (T200, T68i, T610) and the fourth, a T300 was stolen. All my 4 Nokias are out of service, keyboard problems (2), burned motherboard (1), and RX/TX mayor probs (1).
That's my personal experience, and that's why I can recomend SE over Nokia BASED ON QUALITY, and quality can be measured only by durability, of course under normal conditions.
