Wow! This thread really took off! Well, i can agree with those who say a mini'd be better, and yes it would, but i'd still have lambo doors etc installed as a joke

The thing with minis is, you can get away with doing almost anything! And thy are cheap, easy to work on, and, most importantly, COOL.

American cars are very poor compared to similarly priced european or japanese models, generally speaking. You said it yourself, that geo is a 3 cylinder. American cars have poor suspension, poor handling, poor fuel economy (generally speaking). Was watching a motoring show, they were reviewing a chrysler something, looked like a gangster car, it was 6 litre and only knocked out 320bhp! The jaguar they compared it against was a mere 4 litres and knocked out 480bhp!

That Geo Metro looks like the Suzuki Swift/Subaru Justy which was discontinued 3 years ago. The Subaru version was 4 wheel drive.
@Meths. Minis are great fun. My first car was a 1982 bellnose Mini Ctiy E with a 1 litre goldseal engine in. Bought the car for £75 and had no problems in the 2 years I owned it. Eventuall ripped out the interior and fitted and interior from an R reg Cooper S and a wraparound dash. Set of 500 watt 6x9's under the back seat and another set of 200 watt 15 inch mids on the back shelf and a £400 Clarion CD head unit which I dismantled and sprayed chrome. Put 10 inch Weller 8 spokes on and a wide arch body kit after the full restoration and sprayed it in imperial blue.
Used to sail around corner at 40-50mph with it being so low. Was a great car except for the drum brakes all round. Never bothered with a disc conversion.
Next car I had was a 1987 Vauxhall Belmont with a 1.6 Vectra engine put in and a modified Astra 16 vlave GSI bodykit fitted, 16 inch TSW Venoms and the stereo + speakers out of my Mini.
Then I bought a few bikes (Suzuki GSX streetfighter anyone), a Triumph Spitfire 1500 and Triumph GT6 which I fully restored, Ford Serria sapphire, Vauxhall Cavalier 1.8LSI which after a few small mods had a top speed of 147mph.
Am still enjoying my latest car though. Cant wait till summer again. Was great last year
