Hi,
I have had the K700i since october. Its contract but i just use my Genie sim most of the time. I have had all the problems with texts since the beginning on an unbranded phone. I have had to call O2 7 times to get my txts pushed from their server... but what was i doing wrong?.. was calling about my PAYG sim! doh! So 3 weeks ago i ran my contract sim and had the same problem after a few days. Seems to be if you go out of signal for any length of time that the problem occurs.
Have emailed O2 customer care.... let the pain begin...

To get thru to o2 customer service and hav a person deal with yor query, dont fill the reply form on the help menu or 'contact us' , send them an email, include name , postcode, phone make model, whether on payg or contract, then explain briefly yor problem. And u WILL get a reply from an actual person who u continue to deal with til problem solved . mycare@o2mail.co.uk This message was posted from a Nokia

Cheers MsJ. I think a few people will find that very useful. It means they dont have to waste a lot of time (and money) phoning up O2

my mate is suggesting I take it to a o2 shop tomorrow for a answer,
if it's not going to work with o2 etc

from what i heard this problem is known to develop so you might get it soon. if u really wanna keep the phone, dont do anything. if the fault comes up, take it to the shop and if they ask why you didnt take it in earlier just plead ignorance.

Have not recieved a reply from mycare@o2 as yet. A friend of mine took her K700i back to the O2 shop she got it from and they swapped it for a Nokia straight away with no quibble. I bought mine on contract from 'thelink'. Who is best to go and see for a replacement? I was thinking it would need to be o2 shop seeing thats who my contract is with

Cheers

I went into my local O2 shop today and they offered me 1 of 3 Nokias. I said I don't want a Nokia, so the woman suggested phoning customer help (as I'm an online customer).

When i got back I phoned them and they said I could have one of:
Nokia 3220, 6230, 6600, 6610i or 6820, Samsung E700, O2 X3, SE T630 or a Moto V600.

I don't want any of 'em! I use my K700 with my iBook, and only one of those phones will sync with it, the Nokia 6600. I said I wanted an upgrade to the S700, and I'm waiting to hear back.
