Quote:How about this?
"A horse is tied to a 15 ft. rope and there is a bail of hay 25 ft. away from him. Yet the horse is able to eat from the bail of hay. How is this possible "
Cheers
You could make this even more clever by stating that the rope IS tied to a pole like the below diagram:
\__ _______________|
| | |
(The thing on the left is the horse, and the thing on the right is the pole, with a 15ft rope tying them together)
\__ _______________| /-\
| | | \--/
With the thing on the right being hay, and the distance between the pole and the hay at 10ft.
See? Ads a new dimension to it!
Here's a new one:
A Cowboy rides into town on friday, then leaves two days later, on wednesday. How is this possible? (Ignoring the possibility that he took a rocket to a point EXTREMELY far away from the earth (yet still vertically above the town) and orbited at this distance for a while, and thus using Einstein's theory of relativity to go forward in time (relative to the town) and then returning to the town on the following wednesday)

Friday is of one time zone(from where he arrived) and wednesday is of that town's time zone ?

or vice versa

@Eastcoaststar--think about it. Say that in the pile of 10 random coins, there are 3 tails. That leaves 7 in the 90-coin pile. Flip all the coins in the pile of 10, and that gives you 7 tails in both piles. If there are no tails in the 10 pile, all 10 are in the 90 pile, and flipping the 10 gives you 10 tails in each.
@Davo--The fact that he gave the riddle in the same post with his horse diagrams gave it away. He had horses on the mind.

Ok here's one which i DONT know the answer for, but would like to know

-
There are 2 doors in a room, one door contains gold, diamonds and other riches, another contains a hungry lion who has not been fed for 10 days. There are two knaves in the room, one who always tells lies and the other always tells the truth. You can ask them ONLY ONE question to identify the correct door. What is that question ?

@Grimslade
Yep, thats kinda right... It was supposed to be just his horse's name was friday.
Oh and the time zone thing? Its the same town, and that wouldn't be possible even if it wasn't

.
Here's another, not as good, but ok.
A man wearing a suit is stabbed, but luckily it only penetrated his clothing, never even went close to his skin. However, he dies almost immediately. How does this happen? (No, he does not die of shock)
