Hi everyone, put my (unofficial) black cover on. It was a fight to the death, most of the screws inside break really easily and i had to replace some and cut some of the old case off because one wouldnt come out. seriously, dont attempt it if your prone to smashing stuff that annoys you, mine is lucky to be alive.

the guide i followed was in chinese but the pictures helped. I will upload some photos asap.

Sorry it took me so long to reply, been looking at www.halfempty.co.uk for S700 users, awesome site but not as large as esato.

Sorry theyre not very clear, used a 2.0MP camera will get a better one soon.

(worth mentioning, you dont get the silver bit on the back or shutter housing with this case, they are my original bits and theyre really scratched)

@OuchOuch. That looks like a cool site. Will visit that tomorrow when not Wapping.

I can't see your transfoRmed S700 on was but I would have thought official replacement covers would be out by now.

Original Black housings for sale on Ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBay[....]ory=75547&item=6385599960&rd=1

Warns you about trying to fit them yourself though.

EDIT: Actually cannot see any branding on them so might not be original.

@ Goldenface

After having the S710 for 3 days, I have decided this phone is a keeper.

I will keep the non-working model, as it is brand new and will serve as a back up in the event I need parts. Atleast for the cosmetic parts. Such as cover lens, ect.....

I love this phone. Do you know who has the best prices for 128 Duo sticks ?

@REO. Yeah, I can see what you mean by wanting to keep the housing for spare parts, I haven't seen any replacements yet that actually say the words "Sony Ericsson" on them!

This guy is charging $39 including postage and insurance. Haven't seen cheaper yet.
