Here, i'm not really a design specialist so even if i can draw some ideas i thought i'd run an idea by you all, like, not exactly a P1000, but rather a P950i S.E. (Special Edition) a tribute if you will, to the 9xx series, the last, before the next generation of phone. I thought a 1.3 M-Pixel Camera, 262k Colour, Tft Touchscreen, 64 Voices Poly, 256 MB inside and MMC Duo expansion slot, blackberry ready or such, and why not, a 3G compatible 2 camera with the second one, Video one being a VGA. It's not really designed by me, or modified, it's been just photoshoped a little, made in black, i like black, it gives it a sobre look, business design but also to make it look even a little more atractive, i've seen this at my sport shoes.. if i wear contrasting white/black ones even if they are a decent everyday model, they stand out, and when i wear ones thate are out of the ordinary but a plain one-way colour, thei don't get any eyes. I Hope you like this.
I pretty much figure a 2MPix Camera and 1.3 Mpix camera with 3G and, 16.7 mil colour screen, with touchscreen, TFT, perhaps a joystick, a better battery and a little more powerfull speaker, and why not, stereo.. and all it's business functions should be in the P1000 but then again who knows... i hope. Anyway.. i love my P910i like a baby, it's "MY PRECIOUS"...

WiFi, better sound, better camera etc.... i would b e looking at a phone the same size as current P###, the public WANT a keypad input for SMS so it has to go on the back with a 2 line text input screen with a system (or button) that cuts of the touch screen function of the front (main) screen,
Flips are rubbish,
so are slide-in type keypads (they just suck more dust in)
The new phone MUST have huge flush screen with very curved & very thin black shiny boarders with a single chrome control on front, joystick can have added function of actions related to the number of times you press it.
The battery will need to slide in at the side, SE could even include a mercury switch so when input in in progress, the switch would activate the side of the phone thats facing you & deactivate the side your not using (you decide if thats "desk top" or your viewing angle of choice) this was you could input text using the keypad & small screen on the back without worrying about touching the touch screen, then when you flip the phone over, your keypad is not active & you can continue on the main touch screen with full touch screen functionality.
Note, "projected" qwerty keyboards onto a flat surface infront of the phone have been in the pipeline for 10yrs now & they do not work in practice on a "mobile" device, i do not think they will be widely introduced.
I'm confident this idea WILL be used by a munufacturer, its just a case of who does it first. as we can no longer afford to have a large surface (the back) of a phone completely wasted.
