@UMER
I also don't what it means by server busy but it can't be the case that all available connections could be in use. It is impossible that all Islamabadi's will be busy using GPRS at one time bcz this thing is not so popular among people.

@BILAL. Yes man may be you are right all area gprs can not be busy at one single time as not many people use it. But as we both do not know what it means so hope some one else explain it to us soon. Regards. Umer This message was posted from a Nokia

When I manually search for all available signals, all the four companies signal appears other than WARID but when I put WARID sim in my mobile and manually search than only WARID's PK-07 appears. Is thier anything special with WARID's signals. Are they different from others? This point was already raised by UMER. Anyone please tell us the difference and if this happens then how will we be able to use MNP?
The TOPIC name is very fine now.

@bilal: once i asked the ufone ppl that whats their operating frequency. they replied with 900. mobilink also used to be on 900 but since long we are hearing that they are shifting to 1800. dont know if they have already. you can ask your telnor and warid helplines that which frequencies they use.

But still, i dont think this will affect Mobile Number POrtablity. Cuz at one time you will be have subscribed to one network. It might not be the way that you can subsribe both to mobilink and jazz with the same number at the same time. So this wont affect it, if it is the way I get it.

@comtrak: The name is now really fine.

@radarblip

I have read in news that PTA is scheduling to introduce MNP before the next year i.e at the end of the same year.
As far as operating frequencies are concerned :

Ufone PK-02 900 Mhz
Paktel PK-04 900 Mhz
Mobilink PK-02 Previously 900 Mhz now upgraded to 1800 Mhz
Telenor PK-06 900/1800 Mhz
Warid PK-07 900/1800 Mhz

Most mobile phones are dual banded i.e can operate in 900 & 1800 Mhz and most NOKIA phones can operate in triple band i.e 900,1800 & 1900.

Now,I don't know What it mean by 900/1800 written with WARID and Telenor. Are they having both the frequencies or only 1800 Mhz?
