It is a s SIX HUNDRED so it is obvious places below the s SEVEN HUNDRED.

I wish people here would look further than their own personal wishes. I can't believe most posters discard the s600 because it has less functions than the s700. All this shortsighted comments dequalifying any phone that is not the most technically advanced are spoiling the place.

I like the s600 very much by the way and 64 MB is enough for the use it is intended for. It is a good looking, fresh phone with an innovative design. And it has bluetooth. All the newer phones except the real budget ones here have bluetooth!

@dela, I bet this S600 will cause the S700 to get cheaper even though it is potentially less featured so I wonder if that won't repopularise the S700 again?

I never liked the S series form factor but as the S700 has got cheaper I have been more and more tempted to buy one to have a play (and probably pass to my son)

Or pass to me

It's funny, i'm usually the one passing my phones up to my Dad, although he refuses to cough up 200 quid for my V800

And good thinking masseur. Although you know what sony ericsson are like, i doubt that T630 price shall ever drop!

There is absolutely no way this phone will compete with smaller form factors from Nokia and Samsung (catering for youth).

Kids today want small phones with lots of features. The handle (this is what I shall be refering to it as) could have been more subtle. While the rotating form factor will please some, they are bound to want a candybar phone or a flip phone. These are proven sellers and the reason for that is because this is what kids want! I think more market research was needed on this phone!

Also, whats the bet that Samsung drop the price of the D500 when the S600 comes out? That would effectively kill this phone off right away, as the D500 is very popular in Europe and the slid form factor is winning people over big time (see Nokia's 3 new slide phones)!

@masseur

The s700 is rather big and in fact looks a bit outdated yet... just my 2 cents. Also the 1.3MP cam is not a unique feature anymore and the big screen is very nice but does not add real function over the k700-sized screens.

The S600 has some interesting features, like the pc application suite - finally sms-ing from the pc! The pc-phone connection has finally been worked out well.

It is a very interesting package to stand next to the k750. Since i have a multi-gb mp3 player the k750 has little added value but this s600 is what i want - maybe in candybar but I am NOT complaining. The S600 makes a lot of sense in its niche (not pda-like, not mp3-based, but feature-full phone for who does not need a big pda thing buts wants some management). It also is a very Ericsson-like phone in its concept.

Might be my next one but have to do at least one more year with my k700 - which is very good so I am NOT complaing.

Wonder what the price will be.

After seeing the S600 I'm appreciating my K700 more and more.
