I reckon that it is a matter of signal.....I might be very wrong but if the 100m device and the 10m device are 90 m away, the 10m device should see the 100m one since its signal coveres the 90 m..........

This is unless the actual device itself must be in the coverage area......

Wow, over 600 posts on this thread. Cool. Besides the only spelling mistake in my document, is there anything else you guys would like to add?

Cheers,

@talbius:

sometimes, some bricks can reviece notes. most of us though have a contact with the name as something like "SonyEricsson rules - nokia sux" etc.

to send via BT on a t68i (i dunno bout others) go to the contact you wish to send. click on the option button. select send contact. select via BlueTooth.

first you must have discovered the device. to do this you go to connect. select bluetooth. select discover (NOT discoverABLE). then do what i described above.

good luck

Can anyone find out if a 100m BT can connect to a standard 10m BT device at say 90m, this may affect my choice of next phone. Cheers This message was posted from a T68i

Erm im probably not the first to point this out but surely if you are using a bluetooth device with a 100M range with a device that is capable of 10M range at 90M surely the device with the 10M range wont have the transmitter power to transmit data back to the 100M device!??

Correct me if im wrong

I have enough problems with range between my BUD and my t68i but everything works tho I can send files to and from my t68i

Lets say that if I was standing with a 100m range at the right hand side of the line, and some one else with a brick was standing on the left hand side of the 10m range line.
The brick could detect the 100m range device no problem, but, it could not pair/send info or anything at this range coz it don't have the power to send it, similarly, the 100m range could not dtect the brick at this distance for the same reason.
Correct me if I am wrong about this by all means, but it makes sense
However once all phones adopt a 100m range, and if nokia still leave it on by default.......thats another story lol

I agree, it seems ulikely that the 100m unit would "pick up" the transmitts of the 10 m unit that is 90 m away and the other way round. I will ask some people who I think are pretty sure about this, I'll write the answers here if i get any...

*snicker*

I love how the P800 can send to multiple BT contacts at once...

The Philippines is Nokia-crazy. Here, many people think you can't SMS your friends or receive SMS from them unless you own a Nokia. The 7650 is massively popular, and is the "in" phone among the locals.

Combine that with a crowded cinema or coffee shop and you get the picture...
