why are the pics of the interface 552x800px? I thought the display res is 480x800?

hmm the photos are hosted on se-nse blog so no forum restriction. and why forum restriction, the photos are bigger than the display res?

It has nothing to do with restrictions. These screenshots are from the official press pictures, and this is the screen format used in the thumbnails when browsing the XPERIA panels. Real display is 480 x 800 pixels.

It really is quite small isn't it? A lot of people were saying it was BIG! I saw an iPhone for the first time on Sunday and was amazed at its small size, but the X1 is smaller!
