@emuneee, I think it would be better because it would push the x2's price down.
But why would SE want to compete with themselves and create competition amongst their own products.

Come on! Does the htc HD2 compete with the htc Tatoo? no! Does satio compete with xperia X2? no. Every phone has its own segment. SE always had a diversified portofolio (diversification in price tag, design etc). I do not understand why they should change this strategy (a strategy shared by the leader companies: HTC, Motorola, Samsung, LG, Nokia).

I am talking about the X2's successor which would replace the X2. (ala X2 replacing the X1 in SE's lineup).
By being the successor to the X2, it would be in the same segment.
The HTC Tatoo is not the successor to the HD2. The Satio is in a different segment as you pointed out.

Quote from Eldar's article on MWC [mobile-review.com]. Translated from russian. If he can say something positive about SE, then I think, for sure there will be some really amazing stuff being announced.
"Sony Ericsson want to go back to the market and for this to show a whole swarm of new products. Traditionally, on Sunday, one day before the exhibition. There are models that attract attention, there are products for the discussions, as we call them, PR-products. But in the announcement we can see signs of recovery, perhaps, it is the most ambitious launch of the company in recent quarters or the last Barcelona."

Is there anyone on here who is in the correct timezone, and can tell us how much time is left?
I'm in Australia and the countdown is telling me it will be over in about 4 and a half hours, which sounds iffy (and I have seen countdowns from other companies that are incorrect as well)
Maybe I'll see the new stuff before most other people

Dont' worry so much about the local time in Barcelona. You need to find an accurate launch time for you local timezone ... since that is where you are anyway, and timezone is just a calculation; i.e. if launch is at 4AM when calculated for you, its still 4AM when you wish to start reading top articles.
I believe Valentines day is the official start - bring in the mobile love.

It's already Valentine's Day in Australia
If the conference starts at 7PM in Barcelona then I won't find out anything until 5AM
Good reading before I go to school then
That means Samsung stuff as well.

We need them, that is!
On a somewhat related note, Playnow Arena's now fully functional in my region. Cool beans!
