How much data rate can we practically obtain through ir?why cant i send pics from my 610 to my friends nok7210 ?

I could send pix to nokia 3200 without any problems. Maybe the pic was too large u wanted to send or the 2 fones doesnt support pic share.

@shyam - no, 3200 was one of the first of Nokias extended irda features like pics exchange. Probably the first from Series 40...
