It is region dependant as it is illegal (or not permitted) in some countries to take pictures of people without permission. They don't want you misusing the phone i.e. taking secret snaps of ladies (or men). I think in Sweden the camera shutter can be muted. CyberVisitor knows more on this subject.

Best way to remove the sound is to use Multiserver/DaVinci/Setool and delete the .mid file from the phones file system. See www.setool.net fpr more info.

R2AT is available on Davinci. It does not fix the lost Time/Cost Menu though.

Well, R2AL was bound never to hit service centers...

Is the shadow for icons back to normal again compared to R2AL?

As gbrooks3 suggested on Wednesday, R2AT was indeed imminent. It has today been released on DaVinci, and I have just successfully upgraded from R2AE.

Some details about this firmware...

LCD: 200406041
Camera: 3.10
ITP: CXC 125 813 R2C

As I never had R2AL, I'm not sure what the shadow problem was, so I can't say whether or not that's been fixed.

The speed of the phone seems about the same, but I haven't played around with it yet. Once I've got all my pictures/videos/sounds back on, I will have a proper play around and post back.

Guys,are the R2AL029 & R2AT003 software versions officially released by SE or are they released by Setool & Davinci,means that they're developers' only software versions?

No they're not developer. I believe the way it works is that they are official, but it takes longer for the service centres to get them.
