I have been having problems with the phone not sleeping correctly.I have been experimenting with the following firmwares:
"Rooted" R2BA020 / 23
Generic UK R2BA020
Global R2BA023
All of the above I performed a factory reset and the set the APN and correct time and left them over night to see the battery loss. All of them on average used about 40% battery in around 8 hours.
I have then tried R2BA023 Nordic and it seems to have cured my problems, the phone now goes to sleep correctly using the same test. So far its only dropped 2% in 9 hours and its now sleeping correctly.

@AndyD777 strange, but nice that NCB works as it should now that i finaly have the update.
first full load tonight. took it out of the charger 0600 and been texting a few msg and 2-3 short calls. the bar is full, that has never happend before, droped like 20% on the R1FB001 fw, it was stronger in the mid % range and when comming close to 20% tge battery draind faster again.
@Mano82 check Andy777s post, looks like the rooted fw fails in battery

so, how is the X doing these days?
And when is the 2.1 update and HD rec due?
I'm torn between the 4G and Desire, but it's sold out everywhere, and the Galaxy isn't doing anything for me, not feeling it at all!
I might just reconsider the X again, if an update is due and things have been generaly better with SW updates.

@kovle no cracked gps app, almost all of them don't have ofline mode anyway (uses the 3g net on the fly to download the maps)
and there is no EQ in x10i but with 3:d party players/program you can get EQ
I can tell you at least 4 GPS applications that doesn't require on line mode to work:Copilot,Mobile Navigator, MotoNav, NDrive. All these work pretty good on my device witout 3g or any kind of wireless connection

I also had the problem of Playnow disappearing after the update and also had trouble with TrackID forceclosing everytime.
Found a solution to both these problems, with Playnow, just download OI File Manager from the Market, navigate to the 'system' folder, then 'app' and find the playnowarena.apk and playnowupdater.apk and install them both and then Playnow works fine afterwards.
With the TrackID, you simply go to Settings, Manage Applications, select TrackID and clear the data and cache and then it works fine again.
Personally, I still think the X10 looks much better than the Evo, Galaxy S or Desire. Not to mention I never liked the look of the Iphone either, let alone the new one. According to Boygeniusreport, one Iphone4 burst into flames and burnt the charger port.... I can't seem to put the X10 down.

Still nothing for voda branded X10, god they take their time, after the update for my orange branded version, the wait for the voda update is even worse, as I now know what I am missing.
