on the first page of this post they mentioned that you can update to (CDA102511/69) - R1DA039 on 3 UK network via SEUS, so I assume people must have been able to update it. But now when I try it says my phone is up to date even tho its R1CA029

Please do not attack me, these are statements that I have compiled from reading through this thread, they are suggestions not statements. I have tried all of them some work for different people, like the battery one works like a charm for me.

What I mean in point 5 is this:
When you turn on your phone, use something that will not let you go straight to the standby screen. For example, enable flight mode, or have pin protection. What people have reported is by having this, it lets the phone start up fully before you start using it.
If you still don't understand reply

@ kewsvnet
I had the same problem on O2. They said I could update the latest firmware when I couldn't. It something to do with the CDA number you have, because this determins whether you can update or not. I reflashed using da vinci to an open firmware that allows me to update freely

i do know what you mean ...yes my one is @ r1ca029 and it says its the latest firmware too. They probably released it for a while then realised there were loads of people having bugs, and then stopped support for it?
Im sure that they will bring out a 3 uk version of a firmware, when they are happy that one of the new firmwares is bug free.

@Harry not attacking you, as a matter of fact thanks for posting your findings, those that were not aware may find that some can work for them. Its Namloos' negative overtone that I was contradicting...

A comment about point #5. This is more related to the theme reset issue, and less about preventing reboots or BROD. It's a known bug in R1EA031 that if your Start Up screen is set to None in the settings, and are using a theme that lives on the memory card, the theme will reset to the default phone theme every time you start up your phone. A workaround to this bug is simple: have something happen at startup, whether it is using a start up picture, video, the default startup screen, or even having SIM Lock turned on, which requires a password be entered every time the phone is turned on. As long as there is something that happens at startup, the theory is that it gives the phone a little extra time to initialize the memory card. To summarize, if you are using a theme on the memory card, do not have the startup screen set to none.

any news on new firmware? sorry if this question was asked a zillion times already.

for the record, I'm still with the original 037 firmware on my phone, haven't updated yet, also not planning to until they release something new and stable like I have now.

Long time never been in here, just want to check something ... For R1EA031 firmware, i notice sometimes when I off my camera, the shutter closes but it takes a good long few seconds before the phone interface switches back to normal.

Anyone also encounter that?

"Good, long few seconds" ? That just confused me. How many seconds are you talking about 5-10, 10+ if so that is not normal - unless you've got Media Browser playing music in the background.

* Anyone notice that the Media Browser is slightly faster with a wired headset listening to music, than with a Bluetooth A2DP headset - when browsing around using the Media Browser for Pics/Music Playlist viewing or creation, etc ?? I just got the HPM-75's VERY satisfied with them.
