Noticed something today, when i was about to help a friend set sms-tone, you can't use your own only system sounds per default? if you use handcent you can browse whatever, but thru media scape and the system settings you can only use android system defaults
prove me wrong please!

That's what I am finding yet when I had the X10 Mini it never did that. Though this does not bother me so much to be honest

If you put your message tones on the SD card in a folder named notifications, you can browse for tones thru the message app settings and sound & display settings. I set up a media folder, in it a folder called audio and within this folder, 3 other folders named alarms, notifications and ringtones. From mediascape you can only set a ringtone, not a msg or alarm tone. This way also your msg, alarm and ringtones won't show up under your Tracks in Mediascape, they only show under recently added. If you wan't using for example, Astro File Mngr, you can place the above media folder with all it's sub folders on the phone memory in the System folder where all the system sounds are and this way they won't show in Mediascape at all.

If U use a task killer put the clock on ignore list. That is often the solution to alot of problems.

I don't use Task killers after reading that Android OS doesn't need one and judging by my battery performance it's true at Ieast for me. The issue with the time loss, I'm more inclined to think it's a network error & not a phone error. As I mentioned in my post, I've de activated the Auto Time Update, but I'll need a few days to a week to see if it does it again and if it does it again then it will be a phone problem. Although, if it turns out to be a phone error maybe a FW update will correct it because I'm no expert but I don't think it's a hardware issue. Tomorrow I'm getting the R2BA020 at my local SE service and it just might fix it because I prefer to have Auto Time set to ON as I travel out of the country often and for daylight savings time changes, all time corrections are done automatically.

in other words you mean if i add my sms mp3s to the audio>subfolders they will show up in system sounds when i try to set a notification signal?
@ SKIBBE
That's correct. It works for me. Give it a try SKIBBE altough after I get the R2BA020 update tomorrow I wan't to try Handcent for the benefits you mentioned in being able to browse all ringtone file folders and other pluses over the stock MSG APP mentioned by other users.
Good Luck,
Peter.
Ya, I know what you mean about doing almost anything for a Foxy Lady! But sometimes they do return the favour.
Cheers!
