they'll commercialize OLED for computers first
because outside Japan the screen itself does not represent as much added value to a phone as a stand alone screen for computers
BenQ-siemens had an OLED screen-ed phone a while ago, a candy bar with better camera than K750i... and it looks great, one of my friends is still using it
but yes, thte VZ90 is a classic
most of the team went into Vaio and Walkman later

He commented on the photo take from P1000 ...P1i so i guess thats what it is...however for the one taken by w950 with 2mp....the phone shown is a T610i walkman...first time i m seein that!!!

Probably similar things were said by people that lived in 60s or 70s about PCs that we have today
What about a joke that we can receive fax from the *ss using some tissue paper? Can we get there eventually?

Well problem with OLED is shorter life compare to LCD. LCD is around 50k hr while OLED maybe half now (used to be only 10k hr 2 years ago). The most added value is much less power requirement and said to be very thin. I think it may be ideal for mobile which only have life around 3 yrs-4yrs anyway (who still use motorola brick phone daily nowadays?). I think if they can reach at least 24k hr life they may put it on mobile as it means about 3 years of continuos work before broken, with screen off I think it is enough. Notebook only work about 8hr a day which make it to 8yr MTBF.
Edit: BTW, isn't SE has used OLED for front screen for Z610?
