Just some more days guys, we already had proof the firmware is not in beta stage anymore (olbo's update)...but service centers get it always ahead of seus

isn't it that these firmwares are programmed by SE? so why is it that service centers get it first way ahead than SE? where are they getting it from then?

Over at my-symbian olbo has reported that SMP icon tap doesn't seem to work with new fw. I wonder what else has changed.
There was a minor update today to the Update service program, it starts a little different now. You actually have to select your phone model and a picture of P990 comes on our particular screen.
No fw update yet though, I still have the latest version

Why the hell do service centers get it in the first place?
They will charge money for upgrading it (if my phone is outta warranty)
What a rip-off...

My contribution @ my-symbian:
I hardly post, mostly just reads, but heres my contribution nonetheless. do note that I do not see the need for Tweak Peaks and SMP anymore and hence did not install either:
Got it through a fellow my-symbian's member who has access to EMMAIII.
Wet dreams come true....
....FINALLY!!!
Dunno if this helps, but there you go....
Oh and the Landscape (normal) mode in camera WORKS!!
Finally (and ironically) the P990i feels like a P910 again. Good things comes to those who waits... and waits... and waits...
PS: I've seen the future, and the future's bright, but it's not orange, it's R6!!

Opera Mini is also super fast and stable on R5.
remember how it used to take awhile before you actually see the JAVA Logo when loading Opera Mini? Now the Java Logo pops up almost instantaneously as soon as you click on any Java app.

@justjim
Can you check if there has been implemented shortcuts in the opera browser??
becasue on r9 if you use opera mini to download itself and then it closes, then you got shortcuts in the regular browser..
thnx:)
