Palm's webOS looks like it has all the right bells and whistles and although it seems like BlackBerry should be "affraid" the most, I hope SF feels just a little bit threatened to up its own game... N97's kind of UI is just not enough anymore + we have yet to see WM7 this year...

Well exactly.
We don't know yet what this Palm will be missing.
However, it's UI looks stunning, especially compared to horrible S60.
I think, WM will also present something interesting...

SE has always been the best in UI's, so I think they are able to make a nice competitor to the Palm Pre UI.

I have a G1 finally, and I must say Android impressed me too, so far. Not as nice as the iPhone UI, but far better than WM and Symbian

Best at the feature phone UI's, at least.

Remind you guys of anything or no? To me it looks like the batter cover changes instead of the front. White-eye this year make a touch screen conept thats good so we can have one next year!On a random note they also took a bit out of his hikari for the C905.

**off topic**
They did not steal my ideas. Their designers probably "politely picked" the basic design philosophy. And btw, they -those creative designers- never reply my message over the facebook. lol

**on topic**
Palm Pre looks stunning. Paris' QVGA display and UIQ 3.3 interface would seem nowhere near it. The idea of slide-and-reveal-the-qwerty-keyboard is nice, but the design itself has got too much rounded edge. IMHO.

the palm pre is nice, the only problem is that MWC is a month away ... and everyone else is gonna put their cards on the table as well (probably not apple, and one can only hope HTC comes correct with something ...) nokia has already put their hand out there with the N97 ... but the other players will def put something up.

... =/

SE will reveal something, but as far as the top teir phones, going with a company other than HTC may prove inadequate, and shows me that they arent able to concentrate on a top down design philosophy, this year. however i feel that they can turn it around, if palm can then SE should just fall back and develop like theres no tmw, cuz in essence this is the new arena/niche that ppl are lookin towards to emulate in their lower level lines. this compartmentalization is cannibalizing the ppl they want to sell their phones to.

Fixfocused with photoligt. I haven't seen any samples so I can't tell whether the quality is good or bad. I did read somwhere that Pre wont support videorecording at the release.

I think SE should equip their mid-range OSE phones with HVGA displays, 320x480. Anyone agree?

Well, the more expensive OSE phones then, like w980 and c905. The highend phones should not be OSE, but Android, Symbian or WM IMO..
