Read a few posts concerning dust behind screen and stuck pixels... maybe this was the early batches. Anyone still having these issues?

@tranced: I tried using a2uploader - the version inside a2uploader_v3.rar from this post
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=177034 - and I sucessfully connected using it to my C510.
The thread you pointed me to said this was the file I needed:
/tpa/preset/custom/RIGHT_SOFTKEY_HOOK.itm
It is on my phone I can see it listed inside the directory specified above but I can not get that .itm file -or any other file I tried- off my phone and on to my PC. Instructions which I found said to drag'and'drop files from a2uploader's FileSytem tool to my PC. I tried dragging to a file manager and to my desktop but dragging and dropping did not do anything at all.
Obviously I can't make alterations to RIGHT_SOFTKEY_HOOK.itm unless I can get it from my phone to the PC first. Am I missing something or is there some way of doing it that I have not noticed.
Thanks again.

You cannot do it from phone to pc but the inverse. If you want to get the files off the phone you just right click on the file and select 'read'. The file will get saved in the a2 folder and you will see another folder called 'ph out'.

@tranced: Thanks so much, that worked perfectly. [Annoyingly the instructions I found on the web said specifically to use drag'n'drop for both to and from the phone.]
RIGHT_SOFTKEY_HOOK.itm is in this directory: tpa/preset/custom
But there is no: LEFT_SOFTKEY_HOOK.itm
Where do I find the file to alter to change what my left softkey does?
Also my right navigation key has a shortcut that I'd like to change again this has been modified by the Vodafone branding and I'm unable to change it in the phone's settings. Where might that file be found and what would it be called?
Thanks again, and if there's a more appropriate thread to be asking in please let me know. Cheers.

@mattst: maybe there file doesn't exist because it is branded(?).

@tranced - Thanks.
What do you think would happen if I created LEFT_SOFTKEY_HOOK.itm made from the template of the right version? Is the worst case scenario it doesn't work, so delete it, and back to normal?

@tranced - Thanks again for all your help, I really appreciate it, v. kind of you to take the time.
Any ideas for what or where the right navigation key file might be, it's been modded by the vodafone branding?
