No it hasn't. Since the update I'm also getting a prompt each time I open the browser saying that the page can't be opened because there's no connection. Even though the page has actually loaded and I have a full signal. The phone has slowed down slightly and the back gets hotter quicker around where the antenna/camera is located.
On a plus side. The battery life has really improved. 2 maybe 3 days at moderate use now.

I had the flickering screen on v2.3.3 & its also present on v2.3.4. All the other things I've mentioned have happened since updating the phone to 2.3.4

What?? It's still there?? Oh dear glad I refunded mine it drove me nuts. I now got the Samsung GS2 & couldn't be happier

Oh thats sad, rookwise. Actually my good friend, recommanded me to consider it before buying any phone but i am disappointed. The update has made it slower.
WTF and you cant use your internet.
Then obviously your battery gonna last long.

I've given up for now and gone back to my x10. No point even attempting to sell or trade in my xray as it's worth nothing.
Maximum trade in is £90 @ cpw or grade A unlocked condition at CEX is £159 cash. Not good when you pay £250+ for one of these new.
My next phone will certainly not be another Sony Ericsson/Sony/whatever they're gonna be called next year.
Gonna go HTC or Samsung Galaxy S 3 methinks
