Hi,
Just found two cracks in my SGS3 (blue) in the upper left corner of the light blue frame. I've never dropped the phone and it is soon 2 months old.I don't know when they appeared. Is it, like SE Arc, a known weakness or am I just having a bad luck?

Cheers,

Mine too

can you post pics of the cracks and their position please

That was my first thought also...

@ALL

I gave it a try, but I couldn't cope with using Sammy's JB ROMS... I've been spoilt with pure JB on the Gnex so had to flash a CM10 kang the other day... Now I'm just waiting for the release of "Liquid Jelly Bean" beta3 which I plan on having long term (haha, yeah right crack flasher!)

Are these cracks on the back or front of the phone ?? a bit worrying imo.

Maybe its something to do with the blue version getting delayed when the phone was released ?

Well mine has a small line which is the moulding of the plastic and goes all the way around the phone running along with the screen. Second, i have 4 small lines which are also the moulding which run perfectly square from all 4 corners of the phone from the first line i mentioned, to the front of the phone.

They were there from day one and are just part of the phone. Also, my girlfriends SGS3 is the exact same.

If they're what im talking about they're not cracks, they're just moulding.

Several SGSIII owners in a Dutch tech forum have been reporting cracks in the bezel, these are not the lines etaab means, those are indeed moulding.

Here are pics one of the Dutch owners took from the cracks in his phone, more than a month ago:

Samsung have announced, only a small amount of SGSIII phones are affected and they'll repair these cracks under warranty.

Oh yeah, those are cracks alright. But you can see the moulding lines i mentioned from mine.

I wouldnt be too happy if mine had those cracks though.
