Z4 will be announced at MWC but the release will be late May.
The real flagship is Z5 which will be announced in Sep.
So the Z4 will still have 810 and Z5 might actually have Snapdragon 815 ?
Sony is screwing my plans by this

Apart from faster GPU and better LTE modem, I feel the 820 would be better at 14nm but rumours are it might be pushed to 2016 since there will be no place to manufacture it according to GSMarena.

@ascariss,
That's why I said 815, as the 820 with it's 14nm FinFET might not be ready for September, even thought both Samsung and Globalfoundries are targeting 2H15 for ramping up the production for it...
Just to note, the 14nm FinFET is a partnership between Samsung and Global Foundries, meaning they both will share the technologies.. which might result that any customer can depend on both for manufacturing...

So xperiablog is wrong. as i thought, not surprised.
all in all, i don't mind waiting 2 more months if the device is more mature.
the strange thing is from march to end of may there is basically
3 months... reminds me of se satio announcement to release time. they need to have a very good reason for such a long delay.

Stop being silly
. There are 7000 people working in Sony Mobile Division. They are not producing hardware so no blue collars involved in that number. Lowering costs is a good move. Focusing on high-end phones is another good move. HTC survived so will Sony. Japan and Europe alone would keep it profitable if they continue to reduce operating costs effectively. So no worries.

If Sony will really close down, I prefer a merger with HTC instead
I'm still missing VAIO

I think Sony will be fine if they continue to cut costs. The Z3 lines was very well received and I see a lot of them on my way to and from work on the tube. Now they seem to have very competitive hardware so its a matter of changing the opinion of those Samsung users, take some of that share. My bro got an S5 from work which I really like because of the screen but it looks and feels cheap, its making me want to get a 5+ sized phone to replace my current Z1 Compact. HTC survived with such a small portfolio so Sony will manage to do so as well.
Selling Vaio is no big loss since they never bought anything remarkable to the PC market, there was very little in-house Sony tech there so you would basically pay for their design more than anything. TV is different because it is Sony tech so they have Bravia to push for the consumers. There are enough men is suits there to find a good strategy that will keep Sony going. My personal opinion would be to merge with Nokia and HTC to make the ultimate phone as well as making Windows phones because there is little in terms of choice there.
