lol @ Wanqa, whenever i hear the word knackered it reminds me so much of the lines spoken by Vinny Jones aka Maynard in Eurotrip.

I've finally surfaced and have just strolled downstairs to curb the munchies.
The past 2 days have been extremely hectic; dealing with (usually petty) issues amongst some of the staff under me, organising specific school trips and all the risk assessment admin that they require, getting through loads of paperwork (one of my pet dislikes...) and accommodating elements of extended family in our not-completely-unpacked house.
I quickly popped into a SA shop late yesterday afternoon to pick up some boerewors and some Steers sauces. As I picked up a copy of one of the 2 usual free SA newspapers, I noticed a new free SA newspaper in a pile near the door. It's the first Afrikaans UK paper to be published here, but when I saw the name of the newspaper, I couldn't help but wonder how much the choice of the paper's name was to subtly play on any intentional connotation or 'nationalistic' reference for the targeted audience; bound to thrill certain elements here...
The newspaper's name? 'Die Stem.'
Taken with the Nokia 3230:
This SA ad in the free 'South African' newspaper was their take on The Davinci Code to catch attention, offering various immigration et al services here:

@ Kryptik,
LOL yeah, 'hard man' Vinnie Jones. Wonder how much they paid the controversial former Chelski star to play the mute role (except at the end) in 'Gone In 60 Seconds'. And a pity he didn't quite have the physique to match the personality of the 'Juggernaut' in X-Men 3; then again there isn't anyone on this planet capable of emulating the comic book character's physique...woulda thought they incorporated more special effects (in respect of accuracy of this character's appearance) in the movie to address this than what they actually did...attention to detail, gentlemen.
BTW, nice mugshot on the thread's 1st page.
