It was always going to be close game, I wanted France to win but Italy weren't pushovers. Sad that Zidane lost his head there, Cannavarro could only have insulted his mother.

Not that it matters as such, but it was Marco Materazzi that was head-butted by Zidane, so it was the first-half goal scorers from each team involved in that incident.

In attack France looked much better but they lacked the final touch that would've killed off the Italians...after they scored the winning penalty I switched off the tv, couldn't stand watching it any longer.
Btw, the much maligned WP managed to beat the Bulls this weekend.
