Yeah, i must say milukugiuniu info sounds a bit fictional even though his record is good. probably early sheet spec... "An Onymous" info sounds like something that could end in final spec. big 20mp camera sensor on 6.3mm thickness... hard to believe - would result in a bump. it wouldn't be sony design.

Should we expect more than 8.0MP on a tablet? 20MP on the Z4 tablet up from the 8.0MP on the Z2 tablet is huge jump. Wouldn't any increase more likely be to 13 MP?

What I didn't like :
1- the problems with 810 which forced all makers to switch to 805 instead, which means 3GB ram also

Just letting you know, 805 can use 4GB of ram.

I know, but every time we saw a news for switching back to 805, we see it with 3GB instead of 4GB..

As far as I know the S805 is capable of addressing 4GB of RAM, so if an OEM uses the S805 as an excuse to use 3 instead of 4GB then they are talking utter BS.

I have been reading a forum thread at NeoGaf forums, I think it's called Android I/O or something, will have to check on my phone browser history, typing on iPad right now, anyway, they have been speaking of Snapdragon 810 issues and possible delay there for a month or so now, saying both Qualcomm and TSMC are having issues in 20nm process.

AFAIK, today's SoC are packaged together with the RAM, that means the OEM when ordering he will also specific the amount of RAM also and Qualcomm ( or what ever the maker of the SoC ) will create an order for such configuration... sometimes a specific configurations are standard like S805 with 2GB or with 3GB duo to large orders they have with such configuration. if you need some other ( like S805 with 4GB or even with 1GB ) then it's a custom order and it might have some time delays and or higher cost than just the cost of more RAM.

And because the OS at which the SoC is targeted is Android 4.4 and below ( in case of 805 ) which doesn't support 4GB and more of RAM, then I have a feeling that Qualcomm didn't at all make any S805 + 4GB RAM configuration as it didn't expect and OEM to have such an order.

We say the same pattern happens when PC started to have 4GB of RAM, the OS was still 32bit and those systems said ( 3.6GB out of 4.0GB usable ) or something like that... as some other devices in the system requires a bit of that addressing space for their own needs, so the OS will not get the whole 4.0GB at all, the rest of the RAM will be wasted and not used. by that time we started to see some weird sizes of RAM like 3GB, we never heard or thought of such configuration specially that the dual-channel nature of such systems required the use of matched memory modules size, and there's no 1.5GB memory module and it's cheaper to have 4GB on the system than having 2*( 1GB+512MB ) to have a dual-channel enabled.

I have a feeling that most makers want to spare the 4GB of RAM only to 64bit Android 5.0 devices.. just to make them unique as I'm seeing from the rumours pattern..
but maybe now with the delays we might actually see 805+4GB thought only if that delays were real and also took longer than expected...

I come back with another news about snapdragon810.
LG and Motorola choose to wait until qualcomn fix a problem with sd810.

Motorola cancel the device which was originally planed to come out with sd810 in early 2015 and choose to release a device in 3rd quarter of 2015.
This decision was possible because they think most of manufactures(not ALL) will use sd805.

LG's fist half year of 2015 models were originally planed to use sd801,and sd805 so they don't have big problems.
They considered their own odin chipset, tegra chip, and intel chip, and sd810 for second half year of 2015 models
but they finally choose to use sd810 because odin's not powerfull enough, tegra's too expensive, and their MC business unit refuse intel's chip.
But if qualcomn can't solve problem with sd810 until second half year of 2015, they even considering to use higher clock version of sd805.

Also qualcomn's cs team will visit manufactures in late 2014 and early 2015 because manufactures are hesitate to use sd810.
Their engineers are all working day and night to fix a problem but they are also facing quantity issue
because tsmc prioritize apple's quantity than qualcomn's quantity.

So perhaps this might be the new S6

http://www.gsmarena.com/samsu[....]l_the_galaxy_s6-news-10401.php

Running exynos 7420, 3GB ram, 32gb of space, 20MP cam, android 5.0, 5.5 inch @ QHD. So perhaps sammie is worried that qualcomm won't deliver on the 810?

All this talk about the SD810 being delayed seems to be gathering pace but there's not one mention of the SD808, I'd be perfectly happy with that in Z4 anyone else agree?

@XperiaJunkie

SD810 or go to hell...

Adreno 418 vs. 430

Only Snapdragon 810 has a hardware HEVC encoder

810 can support up to two 4Kx2K displays

808: 64-bit wide LPDDR3-933 interface (1866MHz data rate, 15GB/s memory bandwidth) vs 810 : 64-bit wide LPDDR4-1600 interface (3200MHz data rate, 25.6GB/s memory bandwidth)

(808) 12-bit ISP design vs 14-bit dual-ISP design (810)

SD810 is a beast of a soc and I want this beast in a premium >500USD phone.
